Young Dolph‘s long-time partner, Mia Jaye, recently expressed her frustrations with the alleged leniency the murder trial defendants are receiving.

The mom of two took to Instagram Story to share how “trusting the process” is allowing “people to PLAY in [her] face.”

Young Dolph’s Partner Explains Alleged Leniency

Mia didn’t hold back in her heartfelt message about her disdain for the judicial process. As previously reported, two men — Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith Jr. — are on trial for the murder of Dolph. At this time, both men remain in jail without bail.

It was set to begin on June 3, 2024, but their defense team asked for more time for their experts to review relevant information, per ABC 24 Memphis. Prosecutors agreed to the extended time. So, on Thursday, the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office announced that the trial’s start has been pushed back to September. This marks the second time the trial has been moved. It went from March to June and now to September.

Meanwhile, the man accused of ordering the hit, Hernandez Govan, is out of jail on a $90,000 bond and on house arrest. He reportedly faces first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

Another suspect, Jermarcus Johnson, accepted a three-count guilty plea in October in exchange for snitching on the other suspects. His sentencing date has been rescheduled several times, and he’s currently out on bond.

“It is truly hurtful that my family was robbed of a future. My love’s life was taken…and to be left behind to see no one be held accountable in the [court] of law for the act… is INSANE…” Mia Jaye wrote.

Furthermore, Jaye explained how the defendants have received leniency in her eyes and are “enjoying life.”

“…our family has witnessed lenient bonds being granted, absurd requests for the defendants to get a venue motion, freedom, more time to create a stronger defense, witnessed songs made, defendants enjoying life while on H.A… all while our loved on is 6feet deep…” she stated.

Moreover, she described the process as “disheartening, unfair, triggering and hurtful.” Jaye stated,“…for everyone who is like ‘trust the process’ our family has for 3 years.” She added, “the process and system is BROKEN (which is evident across all of Black America LBH.” She urged people to “check the stats.”

Mia added that the judicial system is:

“…continuing to sit back and let people to PLAY in your face.” She said it “isn’t the process it is ignoring the process and giving room for any and everything wrong to happen, over looking accountability.”

Social Media Reacts To Mia’s Message

@1kinglela stated, “Everybody moved on with their life, hers standing still,”

“She deserved so much better. She deserves to still have her husband and family as a whole,” @ceoquell wrote.

@mannysolo said, “I pray the kids grow up never forgetting how much their father loved them. Long Live Dolph.”

“Memphis did him wrong fr HE DESERVES full justice! Such a great talent lost!!!” @lala camilla stated.
Meanwhile, in a separate post earlier this week, Mia Jaye also called out Shelby District County District Attorney Steve Mulroy. Amid the delayed trial, she accused the politician of using her pain to pawn votes in 2022.

“@stevemulroy901 DID YOU REALLY STAND FOR THESE WORDS OR JUST NEEDED AN ENDORSEMENT & VOTES DURING THE 2022 ELECTION? THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I DIDN’T ENDORSE ANY MEMPHIS POLITICIANS OUT OF RELUCTANCE THAT MY VOICE & CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD BE USED AS A PAWN, RATHER THAN BEING HEARD FOR TRUE CHANGE… CONGRATULATIONS ON WINNING, BUT CHANGE HASNT TAKEN PLACE… PEOPLE ARE STILL BEING LET OUT ON BOND…SO REMIND THE COMMUNITY WHAT YOUR OFFICE IS DOING TO BRING FORTH CHANGE?!”
