SyFy may have axed Chucky, but that doesn’t mean the killer doll’s story is over. Franchise creator and series executive producer Don Mancini, who has also directed several Chucky episodes, recently reassured fans that the franchise has “always prioritized story continuity, across different media, for decades,” and they would see their “favorites again.” The SyFy and USA Network series was surprisingly canceled – given the show’s success with critics and audiences – but that decision was attributed to budgetary restraints.
