This week saw the official announcement of the nominations for the 82nd Golden Globe Awards. While the ceremony is still somewhat overshadowed by years of controversy, it’s attempted to re-brand itself in the last couple of years after officially breaking off from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. By and large, there were some pleasant surprises in the nominations this year (most notably The Substance getting several nods), but as usual, there were some surprising snubs. Maybe the most shocking of these were in the television categories, which saw HBO staples Curb Your Enthusiasm, Industry, and even House of the Dragon only getting a combined handful of nominations.
