Shane Black’s film The Nice Guys will be released on the streaming service Netflix on Feb. 1, which is perfect timing considering its recent resurgence in popularity online. Initially released in 2016, the movie received positive reviews and was praised for the lead performances of Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe as the titular characters. Unfortunately, the movie only made $62 million on a $50 million budget, and its poor financial performance crushed any chance of a sequel. However, that hasn’t stopped fans on social media from demanding that a sequel to the movie be made.
