
Emilíana Torrini’s ‘The Extraordinary Miss Flower’ Film Official Trailer

“Tonight I hope to capture how I feel without it sounding like words.” Anti-Worlds Releasing has unveiled the official trailer for The Extraordinary Miss Flower, a performance piece feature that is “part film, part theatre, part fever dream.” It’s playing at both the Dublin Film Festival & Glasgow Film Festival soon, then opens in UK cinemas this May. A Distiller Studios Production with Anti-Worlds & Phantoscopic, the film is backed by Distiller Music, and was shot at the Distillery II studio near Bristol. The story uncovers Geraldine Flower’s collection of love letters, suggesting a potential double life as a spy. The Extraordinary Miss Flower is a spellbinding performance film bringing to life the remarkable story of the extraordinary Geraldine Flower and the discovery of a suitcase of letters sent to her in the 60s and 70s that also inspired acclaimed Icelandic singer / songwriter Emilíana Torrini to return to the studio and create new music. It’s executive produced by Ben Wheatley. Torrini also performs 10 songs in the film and acts in it. Renowned choreographer Kate Coyne (former associate at the Michael Clark company) performs alongside Viva Seifert and Saeed Esmaeli.
