
Adorable Official Trailer for ‘My Dearest Fu Bao’ Panda Doc from Korea

“Please don’t forget Fu Bao.” Well Go USA has debuted the trailer for this heartfelt, emotional documentary film about a giant panda named Fu Bao. 🐼 The official US release title is My Dearest Fu Bao, although it was released in Korea under the title Hello, Grandpa. The film is actually about a panda born in Korea who is sent back to China after growing up. After her miraculous birth in Korea, giant panda Fu Bao’s popularity soared. With her return to China looming, zookeepers solemnly prepared for goodbyes as an unexpected farewell arose, forcing them to confront long-suppressed emotions. She was the first giant panda born in Korea, but was always meant to return to China someday. Fu Bao was born on July 20th, 2020, in natural breeding between Le Bao and Aibao, which were sent as a symbol of friendship between Korea and China in March 2016. She returned to China in April 2024, and they made this documentary about that experience. It’s super cute and uplifting, but also sad watching her leave the caretakers who love her so much.
