No Hollywood figure is more qualified to give an opinion about gangster movies than Martin Scorsese. Today, Goodfellas, Mean Streets, The Departed, Casino, and The Irishman rank high in every list of the greatest crime movies of all time. Additionally, Boardwalk Empire which he executive produced and directed the pilot for is one of the finest TV shows ever made.
