“You need to hurry. The sea is coming back faster than we expected.” Samuel Goldwyn Films has revealed an official US trailer for a sci-fi survival thriller called Survive, which gets a US release on VOD in January. It’s made by a French filmmaker named Frédéric Jardin, who made the kick ass night club thriller Sleepless Night (2011), which we raved about and promoted years ago. This is his first feature film since then, as he’s been directing TV series instead. A couple celebrates their son’s birthday in the middle of the ocean on their boat. A violent storm hits & brings up hungry creatures from the depths as they fight for their survival. The apocalyptic concept involves the oceans disappearing due to the polarity being reversed, and how the world is massively changed, following one family struggling to survive. Starring Andreas Pietschmann, Émilie Dequenne, Lisa Delamar, & Lucas Ebel. This is a much better trailer but it still looks like a particularly strange survival film.
